Derailleur’s new Wave Theory Of Light EP for Dust Science delivers four thumping tech-house tracks that signify a new maturity from Lee Graves.

Repeat Offender is pure hands-in the air party techno. Naggingly familiar Detroit chord figures roll out over heavy drums which have a touch of a breakbeat underneath them, which takes you into a whole new space before slamming those chords back in. Repeat Offender sounds fresh but has a bit of an old skool vibe, which only adds to the attraction and the crossover appeal.

No Mans Land offers some bold 4×4 electro funk action with massive 808 booms bubbling under tuff electro drums and super sharp blips. The introspective Intra deploys aquatic pulses and shimmering keys before dropping down to lush synth phrases that deliver maximum Detroit cityscapes. Deadly tronik subs and waspish pads make Less Acid a minor-key classic.
