See Paula Temple play out and you'll be
screaming. Playing an eclectic mix of Techno and Electro, she's rocked dance
floors and radio waves across the UK Europe. She is one seriously exciting DJ,
flawlessly mixing slinky and banging Chicago and Detroit grooves with European
sounds and a bit acid house. Crowds go mad for it.
A techno convert since hearing LFO, she started DJing at the age of 16, and
soon had residencies at techno clubs such as Artlab and Subatomic. Many people
first heard of her in 1996, when she won the Dave Angel mixing competition in
Muzik Magazine (she won their Bedroom Bedlam competition in 1998 too). Since
then she has become the consummate professional DJ, with exceptional skills
allied to an innate sense of the dancefloor. As a result, Paula has played at
many of the shrines of UK techno, including Atomic Jam and House of God, Voodoo,
The Orbit and Remedy.
Alongside her club work, Temple has been active on radio. As well as
doing a two hour slot on Radio One's One World show, she runs her own Virtual FM
radio show which won the award for 'Best Specialist Music Programme' at the BBC
Student Radio Awards. Paula now broadcasts via RealAudio every week to a global
audience.
